Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the present and potential role of food and wine tourism in the case of the Autonomous Community of Aragon (Spain), based specially on reflections expressed through the Focus Group method from different specialists in the sector and focusing on issues such as the current role of gastronomy and wine related to the tourism sector, the analysis of the touristic field, as well as the response measures trying to minimize the effects of the current socioeconomic critical situation. This specific case study based on Aragon will serve to face the main issues that may affect mainly to the Spanish domestic tourism that could raise some determined proposals as well as possible solutions arising from the sector inside.
