Tourism in the north of Portugal: what future?

On 14 April 2016, a seminar on tourism in the interior of Portugal was held in Vila Real (Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro - Portugal), organised by NERVIR (local business association chaired by Luís Tão) and attended by over 150 business people, tourism technicians, teachers, researchers and tourism students from the northern region of Portugal. The event was part of the project "Novo Rumo a Norte" (New Course to the North), which aims to promote entrepreneurship in the northern region through support lines for small, medium and large companies. This text summarizes the interventions of the participants and the debates held during this meeting to think about the future of tourism in the North of Portugal.
