Esta reseña del libro se centra en un punto de vista crítico del libro, Turismo Cultural, negociando identidades. Se fomenta el concepto de turismo cultural combinando una rica plataforma conceptual realizada por los estudios de turismo, con la teoría del consumo del lugar. Aunque este libro alcanza algunos momentos interesantes, hay algunas limitaciones o puntos que deben ser puestos bajo la lupa del escrutinio. Hasta qué punto la cultura y el turismo cultural no sólo son construcciones occidentales, sino que también favorecen la creación de un discurso etnocéntrico que invisibiliza al Otro no europeo.
