Abstract

Accessible tourism represents a segment with great potential and generates a competitive advantage for the sector, given that the beneficiaries of accessibility actions include growing groups such as the elderly, families, people with temporarily restricted capacities and pregnant women. Its representativeness in the total of the Spanish tourist activity is in continuous increase, motivated by two main factors: the climate benevolence and the existing regulations and social coverage. For all these reasons, this research seeks to determine the main habits and behaviour of Spanish tourists with disabilities in relation to the accommodation used in their trips, as well as to determine which are the variables that can influence such behaviour.
