Abstract

From the ORTE project was born the book "Reinventing rural tourism in Portugal. The co-creation of sustainable tourism experiences", published by the University of Aveiro (UA Editorial), which through its five parts and ten chapters, summarizes the essence of the path taken more than three years of research and shows the main results leaving ample reflection and clues on the "co-creation of sustainable rural tourism experiences", and for future studies. We are in the presence of a solid research work, worthy of a careful reading, not only by researchers and agents linked to the offer and planning of tourism, but also for all those interested in the construction of alternatives to the sustainable development of rural areas in Portugal and in other countries inside and outside Europe.
