Fixação a colocar em áreas protegidas: um estudo exploratório

Resumo

Com o número crescente de destinos e, portanto, de concorrência, há necessidade de estudar o comportamento dos visitantes e como conseguir a sua lealdade. O objectivo deste estudo exploratório é testar e analisar a escala de Anexos de Lugar no contexto dos destinos turísticos. A metodologia aplicada foi quantitativa, e a recolha de dados foi realizada através da utilização de um inquérito por questionário. O território em análise era uma área protegida no Norte de Portugal, Peneda-Gerês, o único parque nacional do país. Foi recolhido um total de 507 questionários válidos e posteriormente codificados. De acordo com os dados recolhidos, existem dimensões em que o grau de concordância é superior a outros: as dimensões de Dependência de Lugar e Identidade de Lugar destacam-se sobre as dimensões de Apego Afectivo e Obrigações Sociais. Isto acontece porque as pessoas frequentam certos lugares mais devido ao que o lugar proporciona ou oferece do que devido às relações sociais que podem ocorrer nesse lugar.
