46 researchers, 70% from the USA, 22% from Canada and 8% from other countries such as the Netherlands and England, have collaborated to write a 515-page manual entitled Travel, Tourism, and Hospitaly Research: a handbook for mana- gers and researchers, published by John Wiley & Sons, New York, 1987 and under the responsibility of two research editors, namely: J.R.Brent Ritchie of the University of Calgary (Canada) and Charles R. Goeldner of the University of Colorado.
