Turismo sustentável em empresas de turismo de férias. Motivações e limitações na implementação de medidas sustentáveis na Catalunha.

Resumo

A implementação de medidas sustentáveis em áreas de turismo de férias tornou-se uma necessidade para assegurar a sua subsistência, mas as empresas de turismo parecem ter algumas dificuldades em implementá-las nas suas organizações. O objectivo deste artigo é analisar quais são as motivações e limitações para que uma empresa de turismo decida implementar medidas sustentáveis. Para tal, utilizámos as ferramentas propostas por duas teorias sobre comportamentos e valores individuais, a Teoria Decomposta do Comportamento Planeado e o Refinamento da Teoria dos Valores Individuais Básicos, que foram a base da análise realizada sobre os casos de três marcas turísticas no destino turístico da Catalunha. O artigo fornece uma visão sobre o comportamento, crenças e valores das empresas e dos seus gestores quando tomam medidas de sustentabilidade, e detecta as motivações e limitações que ajudam no seu envolvimento nos objectivos do destino.
