Turismo sostenible en empresas turísticas vacacionales. Motivaciones y limitaciones en la implantación de medidas sostenibles en Cataluña

Resumen

La implantación de medidas sostenibles en las zonas de turismo vacacional se ha convertido en una necesidad para asegurar su subsistencia, pero las empresas turísticas parecen tener ciertas dificultades en implantarlas en sus organizaciones. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar cuáles son las motivaciones y limitaciones para que una empresa turística decida implantar medidas sostenibles. Para ello, se han utilizado las herramientas propuestas por dos teorías sobre el comportamiento y los valores individuales, la Teoría Descompuesta del Comportamiento Planificado y el Refinamiento de la Teoría de los Valores Individuales Básicos, que han sido la base del análisis realizado a los casos de tres marcas turísticas del destino turístico Cataluña. El artículo aporta un conocimiento del comportamiento, creencias y valores de las empresas y sus gestores en el momento de tomar medidas de sostenibilidad, y detecta aquellas motivaciones y limitaciones que ayudan en su implicación en los objetivos del destino.
