Os desafios do sector vitivinícola das Canárias’ e as suas implicações: um estudo longitudinal.

Resumo

Notícias e relatórios reconhecem os desafios que as regiões vinícolas espanholas enfrentam, incluindo as terras Canárias, onde as denominações de origem (DOs) existem há menos de duas décadas. O presente estudo estende-se das investigações preliminares realizadas na indústria vitivinícola das ilhas’ para aprofundar os desenvolvimentos que continuam a desenrolar-se no sector vitivinícola do arquipélago. Proprietários de vinícolas, produtores de vinho e gestores de 55 vinícolas localizadas nas seis ilhas produtoras de vinho participaram de entrevistas cara-a-cara e por telefone. A visão geral entre os participantes é de grande preocupação, e parece haver muito poucas soluções de curto prazo para os desafios atuais. As conclusões, incluindo as relativas ao futuro do sector vitivinícola local, à sua cultura vinícola e à sua tradição, têm implicações diferentes.
