Abstract

"Public policies, private benefits" begins the Thesis collection edited by the Responsible Tourism Forum, a platform formed by various NGODs and whose main objective is to analyze and monitor the transnational tourism sector from a critical position. The publication brings together three studies commissioned by the Responsible Tourism Forum from external researchers. The first two ("La Jihad desarrollista: estudio y análisis crítico sobre el territorio marroquí como mercado para las ETN tu- rísticas e inmobiliarias españolas" and "Tu- rismo sin fronteras: mecanismos y organis- mos públicos para la internacionalización de la industria turística española") were carried out by Rodrigo Fernández Miran- da, an independent researcher who works in the field of consumption and international relations. The third ("Heritage, leisure and profitability: neoliberalism and its impact on public tourism policies in Peru") was carried out by Rodrigo Ruíz Rubio, a Peruvian anthropologist, activist and lecturer specialising in tourism policies.
