In October 2006, the Center for Research and Tourism Studies of the Faculty of Tourism, belonging to the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, published the book "Ensayos teórico-metodológicos del turismo: cuatro enfoques", coordinated by researchers Maribel Osorio García and Marcelino Castillo Nechar. This document is structured in three parts, the first of which, in the presentation, analyzes the importance of tourism research in both the international and national spheres, the second the basis and results of CIETUR's work, based on four lines of tourism research, and the third a critical appendix that addresses the problems of the tourism epistemology.
