This book, which is in the hands of Augustín Santana Talavera, Eduardo Cordeiro Gonçalves, and Xerardo Pereiro Pérez (editors), aims to demonstrate, through the contribution of several authors, how governance is achieved in tourism in five main ways: associationism (association between different entities), promotion, decentralisation, network dynamics and tourism policy. The scale of the difficulties and challenges of sustainable tourism and the role that renewed governance can play in this context are as follows.
