Segmentar os residentes pelas suas atitudes: revisão de literatura

Resumo

Nas últimas décadas, vários estudos empíricos têm segmentado as atitudes dos residentes em relação ao desenvolvimento turístico. Foi realizada uma revisão e análise destes estudos. Os estudos revistos foram realizados utilizando metodologias ligeiramente diferentes e foram encontradas algumas variações na segmentação resultante. No entanto, algumas semelhanças podem ser observadas: certos padrões se repetem. Isto leva-nos a especular que poderão existir tipologias predefinidas de residentes cujo peso na comunidade de acolhimento dependerá do destino específico analisado. O nosso objectivo é estabelecer uma segmentação teórica aplicável a todos os destinos turísticos. Esta segmentação sintetiza a literatura existente e fornece algumas indicações gerais aos gestores, na ausência de estudos específicos e detalhados.
