Governança do sobreturismo urbano: uma análise configuracional do stress dos residentes e da sustentabilidade

Este estudo examina como o sobreturismo urbano influencia o stress emocional dos residentes e as suas perceções de sustentabilidade. Centrado em Málaga, Espanha, a investigação destaca a crescente importância do bem-estar psicossocial na governança turística. O objetivo é identificar de que forma as configurações de governança — nomeadamente as políticas participativas e orientadas para a sustentabilidade — afetam as experiências dos residentes sob pressão turística. O design metodológico combina a modelação de equações estruturais baseada em covariâncias (CB-SEM) com a Análise Comparativa Qualitativa de Conjuntos Difusos (fsQCA), com base em inquéritos a 453 residentes. Os resultados revelam múltiplas vias causais tanto para níveis elevados como reduzidos de stress, demonstrando que os benefícios ambientais por si só não compensam os impactos negativos quando faltam confiança e participação. Os resultados sugerem que a resiliência depende da equidade percebida, da capacidade de resposta institucional e de melhorias visíveis na vida urbana. O estudo contribui para a teoria ao integrar os quadros do stress urbano, da capacidade de carga e do turismo regenerativo, e conclui que uma governança adaptativa e inclusiva é essencial para alcançar um turismo equitativo e psicologicamente sustentável em cidades com excesso de turismo.
