Género e poder no trabalho e em casa. Mulheres em empresas sociais de turismo na Colômbia

O artigo analisa como as mulheres participantes em três Empresas Sociais de Turismo (EST) em Santander, Colômbia, navegam as relações de poder de género no trabalho e em casa, através de um estudo qualitativo de casos e da utilização de entrevistas semiestruturadas, utilizando uma noção feminista de poder. Os resultados mostram que as EST promovem o «poder interno» e o «poder para» ao melhorar a autoestima e a consciência das suas próprias capacidades, e o «poder com» através de estruturas horizontais e atividades fora do âmbito laboral. Estes processos permitiram às mulheres negociar dinâmicas de controlo conjugal, a carga desproporcional do trabalho doméstico e o abuso físico. No entanto, essas conquistas individuais são condicionadas por barreiras estruturais próprias de uma indústria feminizada, de crescimento lento e baixos salários. Destaca-se a relevância de marcos feministas que integrem tanto a agência quanto a dominação para compreender as complexidades das relações de poder de género em contextos diversos.
