Resumo

A auto-percepção dos indivíduos tem sido explorada de várias perspectivas nas ciências sociais; embora muito poucos estudos se tenham centrado na auto-percepção dos indivíduos como turistas. Ao utilizar entrevistas semi-estruturadas, esta investigação visou aproximar uma visão das indestrições de auto-percepção de um turista definida como cultural. As actividades dos turistas que visitam destinos culturais são, em todos os sentidos, semelhantes às de outros turistas, embora se percebam a si próprios de forma diferente. Assim, os resultados do estudo mostram que a autopercepção do turista cultural depende de múltiplos factores, que não é necessariamente negativo que se percebam como turistas típicos mas que não se trata de uma autopercepção imediata.

Raquel Camprubí, Universidad de Girona

Raquel Camprubí es profesora de la Universidad de Girona desde el año 2004. Leyó su tesis en 2009 centrada en un estudio comparativo de la formación de la imagen turística inducida de las ciudades de Girona y Perpiñán. Es diplomada en la Universidad de Girona, y  Maîtrise in Ingenerie et commercialisation des produits touristiques   por la Universidad de Toulouse - Le Mirail. Es miembro del grupo de investigación ONIT y del Instituto de Recerca en Turisme (INSETUR). Su investigación se basa especialmente en la gestión y marketing de destinos turísticos, el análisis de la imagen turística, y el comportamiento del turista.
