Abstract

The book Social Imaginaries and Tourism. Concepts and applications, coordinated by Daniel Hiernaux-Nicolas, Maribel Osorio García and Rosa Adriana Vázquez Gómez brings together valuable contributions that are organized in two parts. The first half of the book contains four chapters with theoretical and conceptual articles referring to imaginaries and social representations and their articulations with tourism as an object of study. The second section presents four case studies where the application of these theories shows their potential to understand the social imaginaries of tourism in different Mexican territories.
