Abstract

There is a consensus that innovation in information and communication technologies and their decisive incorporation into the tourism system have facilitated their evolution (Buhalis and Law, 2008). The authors Luis de Borja and Joan Miquel Gomis perform in The new paradigm of tourist intermediation a tour through the management models and tourism marketing that have been developed in the last decade and today dominate the scenario of complex relationships between companies, institutions, resident population and tourists. From the description and configuration of the evolution in the channels of tourist communication, the authors refer to the clarification of what they call re- re- processesservices, tracing a nine-chapter journey in which items such as the role of innovation, new opportunities in terms of The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy has published a report on the Commission’s work on the European Social Fund. But the value of this book lies not only in the theoretical analysis of these changes, but also the constant reference to real cases and examples, bibliography and questions that invite reflection.
