Turismo y gestión del conocimiento: una revisión bibliográfica integradora

La gestión del conocimiento (GC) se considera una estrategia para crear una ventaja competitiva. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación es comprender la aplicación de la GC en el turismo. Se siguieron las directrices de la recomendación PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) para el desarrollo de una revisión bibliográfica integradora, utilizando las bases de datos Scopus y Web of Science, lo que permitió que la revisión fuera transparente y posible de reproducir. Brevemente, los ítems de la lista de verificación y un diagrama de flujo para la selección de artículos, ambos de PRISMA, fundamentaron la forma y el contenido de la revisión, el proceso de selección de los artículos y el diseño central para la información extraída y que permitió el análisis de los datos. Se obtuvo una muestra de 376 artículos, de los cuales 107 cumplían los siete criterios de elegibilidad. En este proceso de búsqueda sistemática y clasificación de los artículos, se utilizó el gestor bibliográfico EndNote, y para cada artículo hubo un análisis por parte de al menos dos investigadores. Los resultados destacados fueron: (1) el turismo va a la zaga de otros sectores económicos en el uso de la GC; (2) la mayoría de los investigadores están localizados en Europa; (3) las revistas más populares para su publicación son del propio ámbito turístico; (4) la mayoría de las investigaciones utilizaron métodos empíricos, con tendencia al enfoque cuantitativo; (5) el énfasis está en los procesos de intercambio y transferencia de conocimiento; (6) énfasis en el conocimiento tácito, dada la complejidad de su gestión.
