Resumen

Hoy en día se reconoce ampliamente el papel que juega la imagen en el desarrollo del turismo y, sobre todo, como elemento de diferenciación de una zona de destino. Esto se refleja en gran medida en la literatura que centra su interés en la identificación de las variables que motivan la compra o estimulan el proceso de decisión. Sin embargo, sorprende la referencia a los procesos de retroalimentación o mecanismos de control de imagen, así como su creación. En este artículo se expondrá un modelo de aproximación a estos procesos.
