Actitudes de los residentes hacia el desarrollo y los impactos del turismo en el circuito turístico de Koti-Kanasar, Indroli, Pattyur del estado de Uttarakhand, India

Resumo

Os Himalaias indianos são caracterizados pelo potencial turístico que oferece uma boa oportunidade de desenvolvimento económico a longo prazo. Considerando um grande potencial para o desenvolvimento turístico, Koti?Kanasar, Indroli, circuito Pattyur de Uttarakhand foi identificado como uma área para a promoção do turismo rural através do Ministério do Turismo da Índia. Como o circuito está na fase de desenvolvimento da participação, é importante assegurar o desenvolvimento sustentável do turismo para o qual é muito essencial a compreensão da atitude dos residentes. Este estudo examinou a atitude dos residentes em relação aos efeitos e influência dos atributos demográficos na sua atitude em relação ao turismo. Um estudo revela que instalações de infra-estrutura, design e embalagem de produtos de turismo rural, programas de desenvolvimento de competências para os intervenientes e campanhas de marketing direccionadas são essenciais para o desenvolvimento do turismo. As descobertas indicam que os residentes estão a compreender a magnitude dos impactos turísticos na sua região montanhosa nas dimensões económica, social e ambiental. O estudo também revela que, embora os locais queiram aumentar as receitas do turismo com um esforço correspondente para reduzir os impactos privados, seus impactos turísticos percebidos variam de acordo com a sua demografia.

He carries 34 years of rich experience in the field of mountain tourism, tourism planning and development, and ecotourism. He served as Consultant for United Nations World Tourism Organization, Madrid, All India Council for Technical Education, Planning Commission, Govt. of India, University Grants Commission, Indian Council of Social Science Research and GTZ, Govt. of Germany on Tourism and Hospitality.
