Sair de férias é ecologicamente correto? Uma análise bibliométrica dos indicadores de sustentabilidade ambiental do turismo

O turismo tem impactos importantes na sociedade, economia e meio ambiente. A sustentabilidade constitui elemento chave na competitividade da indústria turística. A dimensão ambiental da sustentabilidade contempla diversos indicadores, ferramentas fundamentais para um desenvolvimento turístico mais sustentável. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a literatura científica sobre indicadores de sustentabilidade ambiental para o setor do turismo. Os métodos de pesquisa foram a revisão sistemática e a análise bibliométrica, utilizando a base de dados Scopus. Os objetos de estudo mais frequentes estão na Europa e China, analisando a sustentabilidade de diferentes segmentos, como: ecoturismo, turismo rural, cultural, gastronômico, urbano e marítimo, e sustentabilidade do setor de hospedagem. Agrupou-se os principais indicadores em cinco categorias: Energia, Ecossistema e Ambiental, Água, Transporte e Mobilidade, e Desperdício. Os resultados permitem uma avaliação abrangente das pesquisas sobre as temáticas abordadas, fornecendo novas frentes de pesquisa sobre o turismo, para que profissionais da atividade turística tomem decisões acertadas.
