Caminhos históricos como promotores e protectores da paisagem cultural: O turismo e o Camí de Ronda na Costa Brava

Resumo

Este artigo reflecte sobre a tendência crescente de valorização da paisagem cultural e de ligação das paisagens ao seu ambiente patrimonial mais vasto. Centra-se em trilhos históricos e no seu património cultural e natural adjacente como uma paisagem cultural holística com um caso particular da Costa Brava. O artigo liga os conceitos de paisagem natural, identidade, autenticidade, património costeiro e cultural, trilhos, rotas e turismo cultural como base para a compreensão das paisagens culturais num contexto de turismo patrimonial. Este documento fornece perspectivas sobre como uma trilha costeira e o seu património circundante pode ligar-se e ser experimentada como uma paisagem cultural, que inclui arquitectura, arte, literatura e arqueologia. Os resultados sugerem cinco temas que ligam o percurso histórico com a paisagem patrimonial da região: o papel do património material e imaterial, o desenvolvimento de um discurso patrimonial, a promoção de uma rota patrimonial, a divisão da rota em três secções e as suas ligações ao turismo, e o reconhecimento de uma paisagem cultural única. A totalidade da paisagem patrimonial com todas as suas componentes complementa, e é parte integrante, da paisagem costeira que apela a muitos turistas na Costa Brava.
