O que é Turismo Cultural e como é medido? Um estudo longitudinal com séries cronológicas para o caso espanhol

Resumo

O turismo cultural tornou-se um desafio para muitos destinos porque é menos sensível à sazonalidade e às correntes da moda turística. É uma forma de revitalizar as áreas interiores, preservando sítios patrimoniais e aumentando as taxas de emprego. No entanto, conceptualizar e medir o turismo cultural não é uma tarefa fácil. Neste trabalho, primeiro oferecemos um quadro conceptual do que é o turismo cultural, como interface entre experiência e autenticidade: depois apresentamos uma revisão dos tipos de turismo cultural e de turistas culturais. Em segundo lugar, depois de apresentar o quão difícil pode ser medir o turismo cultural, apresentamos nossa abordagem empírica: um estudo longitudinal sobre dados secundários de várias dimensões culturais fornecidos por fontes públicas espanholas. Os resultados obtidos por meio de regressões lineares visam esclarecer o impacto do turismo cultural nos gastos turísticos.
