Sustainable tourism has become as a key initiative that promotes the efficient use of resources in tourism activities. This research aims to analyse the evolution of business variables associated with sustainable tourism in Colombia. The data used comes from the Regional Tourism Competitiveness Index of Colombia (ICTRC) for the period 2017-2023. To select the most relevant variables, an expert judgement was conducted, and the STATIS technique was subsequently applied for analysis. The results indicate that the departments of Colombia experienced a generalised setback in these variables that can be grouped into two categories: one where tourism activities are considered to be of significance and another in where their impact is of lesser importance. Finally, it is observed that cooperation agreements, tourism service suppliers certified in quality and/or sustainability and rooms linked to international hotel chains and suppliers have shown improvements during the period under analysis.
