In this edition, unlike previous ones, the seminar has counted with the knowledge that world tourism has been negatively affected by the financial crisis over the past year and that expectations for 2009 are confident The European Commission has already launched a withdrawal exercise in 2008. Therefore, an attempt has been made to assess the current situation of the sector in the context of the remarkable fragility of the global economy, the consequences arising from it and the responses that seem most appropriate.
