Do tourist information centres limit themselves to informing?

If we ask ourselves about the functions of a tourist information centre, we generally associate it with: opening a map, locating and informing the visitor about the most outstanding tourist resources of a place. We can also say that the training function can be carried out by anyone without specific training. From my point of view, most people are able to inform a tourist, but not everyone can do so professionally, motivated and enthusiastically. It is in these three aspects that the quality of the tourist information service falls and where new challenges arise, such as taking a further step: offering new opportunities to get to know the area and raising the tourist’s environmental awareness.Downloads
