The tourist destination generated around Siem Riep province is mainly based on the visit to the Angkor archaeological park and is gradually becoming a consecrated archaeological destination and a world reference. Around this destination, two basic levels of management are presented: that related to the destination and that related to the archaeological tourist resources themselves. This article analyses in depth the model of planning, management, enhancement and development of the destination and its archaeological resources, as well as the formal procedures for coordination between those responsible for managing both.
