Turismo regenerativo y postdesarrollo: ¿ruptura paradigmática o rebranding de la sostenibilidad?

Resumo

Este ensaio examina criticamente o turismo regenerativo com o objetivo de determinar se constitui uma ruptura paradigmática em relação ao desenvolvimento sustentável ou se representa um rebranding funcional ao capitalismo verde. Parte-se da importância de questionar os modelos hegemônicos de desenvolvimento turístico na América Latina. O objetivo é analisar os fundamentos biocêntricos e decoloniais do turismo regenerativo a partir das perspectivas do pós-desenvolvimento e do decrescimento, problematizando suas tensões sociopolíticas. A metodologia consistiu em uma revisão teórica crítica da literatura acadêmica global e latino-americana. Entre os resultados relevantes identificaram-se as potencialidades do turismo regenerativo para promover a justiça ecossocial, a revitalização cultural e a restauração territorial, bem como os riscos de cooptação neoliberal, greenwashing e reprodução de lógicas extrativistas. A discussão reflete sobre a necessidade de reconfigurar epistemologias e relações de poder para avançar em direção a transições justas e pluriversais. Conclui-se que o turismo regenerativo requer um repensar profundo do modelo de desenvolvimento para se constituir como alternativa real no contexto latino-americano.
