Competências digitais, segunda língua e empregabilidade: análise de empresas no setor de turismo

Resumo

Este estudo analisa a relação entre competências digitais, empregabilidade e proficiência em segunda língua em pequenas e médias empresas (PMEs) do setor de turismo nos departamentos de Quindío e Valle del Cauca, na Colômbia. O estudo tem como objetivo identificar as correlações entre aquelas variáveis e o modo como impactam a competitividade dos negócios locais. Foi utilizado um desenho quantitativo, aplicando-se uma pesquisa a 114 PMEs, e os dados foram analisados por meio de modelagem estrutural com mínimos quadrados parciais (PLS-SEM). Os resultados revelam que as competências digitais influenciam significativamente a empregabilidade, sendo a proficiência em segunda língua ainda mais determinante. Isso evidencia a importância dessas habilidades para melhorar a eficiência organizacional e a adaptação às mudanças. O estudo conclui que o desenvolvimento dessas competências pode otimizar o desempenho dos trabalhadores e os processos corporativos, particularmente no setor de turismo.
