Resumo

A relevância do capital humano e a colaboração com a academia para a inovação no sector da hospitalidade nunca foi negada, mas as provas empíricas para esta ligação são insuficientes no que diz respeito à Turquia. Este documento pretende contribuir para o conhecimento nesta área, empregando dados de inquéritos gerados por iniciativa própria para a província de Mugla, que é um dos destinos de férias mais atraentes na Turquia. O objetivo deste artigo é investigar os efeitos do capital humano e da co-chama com a academia sobre o desempenho inovador das empresas de hospitalidade. Os resultados dos dados do inquérito e a investigação empírica de modelos econométricos de logit e probit indicam que estes factores são de facto factores propícios para o desempenho inovador das empresas de hotelaria.
