Opiniões e atitudes perante o turismo residencial no sul da Comunidade Valenciana

uma planificação do turismo que se pretenda bem sucedida deve ter em conta as opiniões e atitudes da população residente. Este artigo analisa as atitudes dos residentes numa região da costa mediterrânea espanhola onde o turismo está baseado principalmente na cons- trucção de segundas residências em escala massiva. Um inquérito pessoal indica que o contexto de opinião em que se inscreve este desenvolvimento tão intenso teve lugar num quadro de legitimação social. É possível distinguir dois grupos: os defensores, que tendem a justificar o processo turístico residencial reconhecendo os benefícios econômicos que proporciona, e os críticos, que tendem a cobrar- nar os custos sócio-cultural e ambiental de tal desenvolvimento.Downloads
