Desenvolvimento integrado do turismo rural a partir da perspectiva dos residentes: modelo proposto

É proposto um modelo holístico que reflecte o processo de desenvolvimento do Turismo Rural Integrado (IRT). O modelo inclui as principais variáveis envolvidas no desenvolvimento deste tipo de turismo, assim como as relações que existem entre essas variáveis. O modelo é validado considerando as informações fornecidas pelos residentes de uma área rural envolvida num projecto de desenvolvimento turístico. A área é a província de Entre Ríos (Argentina), imersa no desenvolvimento do destino turístico "Tierra de Palmares", os moradores constituem um dos principais atores para que o IRT possa ser desenvolvido com sucesso. A metodologia aplicada é a proporcionada pelos modelos de equações estruturais com variáveis latentes. Os resultados obtidos mostram que os residentes percebem a existência das variáveis chave para desenvolver com sucesso o IRT. As percepções dos residentes mostram que a existência de colaboração entre os stakeholders tem uma relação positiva com os demais aspectos do turismo integrado, já que afeta a natureza embutida, endógena e complementar das atividades turísticas desenvolvidas, bem como o empoderamento dos residentes. Além disso, são alcançadas as três dimensões da sustentabilidade, uma vez que se percebe a existência de sustentabilidade econômica, sócio-cultural e ambiental. Essas dimensões da sustentabilidade são afetadas pelo empoderamento dos moradores de uma área.
