Topics such as tourism, photography, image, consumption, show society and tourist experience permeate the discussions of this work in order to analyze the relationships between the act of photographing and the travel experience of contemporary tourists. In order to do so, we seek to analyze tourism as a commodity in the society of the spectacle, reflecting and analyzing the act of photographing incorporated into this type of society, as well as understanding the society of the spectacle as a stage for the production and consumption of images. Such discussions allow, finally, to identify the importance, meaning and what the photographic record represents to tourists photographers as an object built from the travel experience. This research is of a qualitative nature, with an exploratory objective and uses bibliographic and field research as methodological instruments.
