Backpacker tourism in recent years has recorded an exponential growth, being interpreted as a subculture inserted in the global phenomenon. Several authors have dedicated themselves to the study of this subject because there is a lack of studies on the subject of backpacker tourism due to the strong emphasis given to conventional tourism to the detriment of this subtype of tourism. Therefore, the study inserted in the book allows to fill this gap. The authors are Antonio Martín-Cabello, José Luis Anta Félez, Almudena García-Manso and Rubén José Pérez Redondo. The structure of the book is composed of six chapters and its content allows us to understand the evolution and the various approaches to backpacker tourism.
