Creatividad cultural - ¿qué oportunidad para los destinos rurales?

A lo largo del siglo XX, la cultura ha adquirido un papel distintivo en el turismo, especialmente en las zonas rurales. Las tradiciones, las costumbres y la identidad local son recursos endógenos que han integrado la experiencia rural, buscada por turistas cada vez más exigentes. Este artículo tratará de comprender la experiencia cultural vivida en Janeiro de Cima, un pueblo del Centro Interior de Portugal, a través de las percepciones de los diversos actores del destino, e identificar el potencial para desarrollar alternativas creativas que puedan mejorar la experiencia general del turismo rural. Los resultados muestran que ya se está implementando un enfoque integrado de desarrollo turístico, pero que aún existe potencial para explotar los recursos culturales existentes para mejorar la experiencia turística en esta aldea, reconociendo todos los grupos entrevistados el valor atractivo que resulta de la unión de las tradiciones con la co-creación de experiencias.
