Análise das percepções sobre o emprego de pessoas com necessidades especiais na indústria hoteleira indiana

A diversidade e a inclusão (D&I) tornaram-se uma prioridade empresarial para a maioria das organizações de todos os sectores, uma vez que demonstraram promover a criatividade, a inovação e a moral dos trabalhadores, bem como a produtividade e os resultados, contribuindo simultaneamente para uma economia mais igualitária. Capacitar as pessoas com deficiência através de oportunidades de emprego é uma prioridade em muitas organizações, incluindo as do sector da hotelaria e restauração, onde os espaços inclusivos são frequentemente considerados pelos hóspedes como mais acolhedores, confortáveis e calorosos. O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar as práticas de emprego das pessoas com deficiências especiais no sector hoteleiro indiano. Foi adoptada uma conceção de investigação exploratória. Foi utilizada uma conceção em duas fases para explorar o tema e encontrar novas dimensões de investigação. O estudo também revelou as oportunidades e os obstáculos no processo e a forma como podem ser resolvidos para aumentar o seu emprego para uma vida digna e uma sociedade indiana inclusiva. O estudo procurou relacionar a procura de mão de obra competente no sector hoteleiro indiano com as necessidades de emprego das pessoas com deficiências especiais.
