O importante papel do estudante universitário internacional como motor para a promoção e desenvolvimento do turismo educativo internacional, como modalidade dentro do turismo linguístico.

Atualmente, o turismo educacional internacional cresce muito positivamente a cada ano, principalmente entre os estudantes universitários internacionais e especificamente entre os estudantes Erasmus internacionais. No caso da Espanha, especialmente de Córdoba, verificamos a existência de uma real e crescente procura de estudantes universitários internacionais. Neste sentido, este documento pretende esclarecer as motivações dos estudantes internacionais da Universidade de Córdoba que levam ao turismo educativo internacional nesta cidade com o objectivo de criar outras formas de promoção para atrair mais estudantes educativos internacionais e desenvolver outros tipos de turismo. Entre as razões para escolher Córdoba como cidade de destino, a aprendizagem da língua acaba sendo o principal motivo para vir a Córdoba estudar. Além das razões lingüísticas, os estudantes universitários internacionais escolhem Córdoba como destino turístico devido a sua situação geográfica.
