The process of deregulation of air transportation and all changes that have arisen in the air transport market led to the emergence of new airport concepts, not always clear and easy to understand. Airports Hub & Spoke and operational bases, has specific characteristics to be exploited in this article through case studies that aim to highlight the differences and emphasize its importance for the airlines involved. In this article we are going to evaluate the operation of two airlines that are members of a Strategic Alliance, which operate under a Hub & Spoke network, as well as an example of a low cost airline operating to more than 50 operational bases all over Europe.
