Innovación, espíritu empresarial y artes y oficios tradicionales. Estudio de caso de la Región de Viseu Dão Lafões

Resumen

Con los cambios que se han producido en las zonas rurales en las últimas décadas, la preservación de estos territorios y de sus gentes está ligada a la capacidad de innovación de la población local, a menudo utilizando recursos endógenos. Las Artes y Oficios Tradicionales (AOTS), combinadas con otras actividades económicas locales, son instrumentos de regeneración socioeconómica local. A partir del estudio de las web de los catorce municipios del interior de Portugal, en la región de Viseu Dão Lafões, complementado con un análisis de la información bibliográfica sobre las iniciativas descritas en dichas web, se analiza la difusión de las mismas y explora su carácter innovador. Los resultados sugieren que, a pesar de la existencia de ejemplos notables de iniciativas de TAA en la región, con una clara orientación hacia la innovación -de producto, de proceso, organizativa y de marketing-, la promoción llevada a cabo es (todavía) modesta. Teniendo en cuenta el carácter artesanal de estas iniciativas, la escasez de recursos humanos y financieros,  su contribución al fortalecimiento de la identidad regional y el turismo, el apoyo institucional, en particular en términos de promoción y prácticas de animación que involucran a los artesanos, debe ser reforzada.
