Resumen

This book review is centred on a critical viewpoint to the book, Cultural Tourism, negotiating identities. It fosters the concept of cultural tourism combining a rich conceptual platform performed by tourism studies, with the theory of place consuming. Although this book reaches some interesting moments, there are some limitations or points which should be placed under the lens of scrutiny. To what an extent culture, and culture tourism not only are western construals, but also conducive to the creation of an ethnocentric discourse that invisibilizes the non european Other.
